About the Citizen Asset Management Department
The Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indian Citizen Asset Management Department’s goal is to carry out the Department’s mission statement by offering Supportive Housing Programs and Financial Counseling/Coaching to Tribal Citizens of all income levels. This includes the rental of Tribally-owned dwelling units, Down Payment Assistance, Housing Improvement, HOOP, IDA, Principal Pay Down and a Water & Sewer/Sanitation Improvement Program. These programs are coupled with Housing and Financial Wellness, for groups and individually, whichever best suit the Citizen's needs.
The Citizen Asset Management Department is governed by the Gun Lake Tribal Council along with a three-person Housing Committee comprised of Tribal Citizens.
Housing Assistance Handbook
Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians’ Housing Assistance “Handbook” governs the activities of the Housing Department. The Handbook contains a listing of each of the programs offered by the Department along with each program’s objective, benefit(s) offered and eligibility criteria.
