GED Program Policies & Application 

The Education Department assists eligible applicants obtain their GED by contributing funds for the payment of GED pre-test and testing fees as well as any tutoring fees if the Tribal Citizen displays the need for additional assistance in passing GED tests.


Higher & Career Tech Education Scholarship

The Education Department will provide payment on behalf of eligible Tribal Citizens for expenses associated with your tuition, fees, books, supplies, transportation, and personal expenses as calculated by your school’s financial aid office. D.K. Sprague Educational Scholarship Endowment

The D.K. Sprague Educational Scholarship Endowment is designed for those in the Gun Lake Tribe's five-county service area, which includes Allegan, Barry, Kent, Kalamazoo and Ottawa Counties. This Scholarship Endowment is awarded to one student per county in the service area and could potentially cover all or most of the student's higher education costs. The Gun Lake Tribe is very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to those in our local community.

Higher Education Laptop Program

Eligible Tribal students will be assisted with the purchase of a laptop or desktop computer. Students who have completed at least one semester of higher education must submit a copy of their most recent college grade report, verifying a GPA of 2.0 or higher (undergraduate) 3.0 (graduate), and proof of current enrollment in a degree or certificate program. Newly enrolled higher education students, those who have never accessed the Higher Education and Technical Career Scholarship, must submit proof of enrollment.
