Donations

Gun Lake Tribe reserves the right to decline donations based upon its guidelines. All information must be received prior to issuing a check. This form is not to be used for any amounts over $10,000. Those must be approved by Tribal Council.

A summary of key considerations/criteria can be found below:

  • • Be submitted in writing, either through our compact website submission process or by mail
  • • Be a properly qualified 501(c) 3Be submitted at least 60-90 days in advance of any deadline, initiative or event
  • • Be located within Allegan, Barry, Calhoun, Eaton, Ionia, Kalamazoo, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Ottawa or Van Buren counties
  • • Be compatible with one of Gun Lake Tribe’s key areas of giving including: Youth organization and programs focused on providing services to children; Education efforts to strengthen and assist our K-12 public education system; Community betterment organizations, programs and initiatives dedicated to providing basic social services to those in need, such as food pantries, shelters, senior citizen programs and children’s welfare; Diversity programs focused on enhancing economic opportunities within minority communities; and Veterans associations.
