Join Gun Lake Tribe Environmental and Health & Human Services staff in celebrating those who completed the May Wellness Challenge, 23 Mile Migration, in honor of the 23 miles our relatives nmé (lake sturgeon) migrate from Lake Michigan to Allegan Dam.

Why 23 miles?

May 23 celebrates World Migratory Fish Day and the Kalamazoo River nmé migrate 23 miles to the Allegan Dam for spawning. While we honor those who completed the challenge, tour the streamside rearing facility.
