Michigan Indian Legal Services On-site
Michigan Indian Legal Services (MILS) will be on site for legal questions and assistance. MILS operates three types of legal programs for the Native American communities in Michigan. They provide services as a traditional free legal aid program. Second, they have entered into contracts with three of the tribes in Michigan that allow them to provide additional services for their communities. Third, they can provide additional services under specific grants.
An attorney from MILS will be available from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. for questions and assistance. MILS now has an online intake available. Please go to https://map.tfaforms.net/f/apply to complete their intake prior to your appointment.
Unable to make it but still interested? MILS can assist via Zoom or over the phone! Please call MILS at 231.947.0122 to schedule a time for assistance.
