Environmental Lunch and Learn: Our Relative Nmé
Join Environmental and Health and Human Services to learn about our relative, nmé (lake sturgeon). While nméyek are famous for their large size and long lives, the journey to get there is filled with challenges. Historically, nméyek supported the Bodwéwadmik, now the Tribe supports nméyek rehabilitation efforts. A culturally healthy lunch will be provided!
This activity is funded by the CDC’s Good Health and Wellness in Indian Country (GHWIC) program, supporting culturally relevant strategies to prevent chronic disease and promote long-term community wellness.
