Public Notice of Significant Effects Statements for the Bad Bird Way Developments
The Tribe is accepting comments for 30 days on the Significant Effects Statements related to the leases of the Bad Bird Way Developments. The statements are linked below. Please submit all comments to liz@glt-nsn.gov by May 1, 2025.
Article II, Section 2.03 of the Business, Agricultural and Residential Leasing Ordinance states that proposed lessees shall identify and all proposed leases be subject to publication and written comments of the significant effects of a proposed lease on the environment. Article VI Section 6.01 requires the lessee or sub-lessee to submit a significant effects statement prior to requesting approval of the lease. These forms identify the information required to assess the significant effects.

This department implements environmental/natural resource educational outreach and executes culturally based conservation projects and services with a forward-thinking approach.

Environmental Committee
The Environmental Committee reviews proposed projects and helps guide program development and decision-making regarding environmental and natural resource areas. The Environmental Committee works in collaboration with the Environmental Department to provide general direction while ensuring that Tribal Council is kept informed.
