Stretching/Flexibility Classes with Xue Lao

All classes are 12:15 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Gun Lake Tribe Wellness Center

Stretching is the process of gently lengthening muscles and tendons to improve flexibility, increase range of motion, and prevent injury. It involves moving a muscle or group of muscles to its maximum length, holding that position for a certain period and then releasing. Stretching can be done before or after exercise, as part of a warm-up or cool-down routine, but can also be practiced independently to enhance overall muscle flexibility. Stretching has various benefits, such as reducing muscle tension, improving posture, increasing circulation and aiding in muscle recovery after exercise. It can also help reduce the risk of injury by preparing muscles for movement and by enhancing joint mobility.
