What is the Tribal Health Center?

The Gun Lake Tribal Health Center (GLTHC) is our tribally-owned and operated clinic, located in the Gun Lake Tribe Government Campus across M-179 from the Gun Lake Casino. The health center is committed to enhancing the quality of life for all Tribal citizens and the Tribal Community.

Tribal Health Center Goal

GLTHC’s goal is to improve the physical, mental, social and spiritual health of the GLT community by integrating our Elders’ historical vision. We reflect our mission through comprehensive, service-oriented and community-focused approaches to healthcare. We maintain our integrity, spirituality, self-sufficiency and cultural awareness through service to our community

Tribal Health Center Services

A dedicated team of highly-trained clinicians and support staff offer a wide range of services including:

  • Routine Care: Newborn care through adulthood and geriatrics
  • Acute Care: Flu, earache, cough, bladder infection, etc.
  • Same Day Appointments: Injuries such as sprains, cuts/scrapes, insect bites
  • Chronic Care: Asthma, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease
  • Basic laboratory services
  • Tobacco cessation
  • Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Substance Use Recovery
  • Domestic violence intervention
  • Behavioral health
  • Drug and alcohol abuse counseling
  • Youth services
  • Infant and toddler development assessments
  • Home visitation
  • Other social services assistance

The GLTHC features two family practice physicians and a family nurse practitioner.

Closed everyday 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Monday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Appointment Check-In

In order to bill the patient and insurance companies correctly, we ask that all patients register during each visit to verify their address, insurance information and to make sure all necessary forms are filled out and signed. Please remember to bring your insurance cards s, tribal ID, employee badge and driver’s license  for each visit to the Gun Lake Tribal Health Center. Payment is due at time of service.

Vaccines

The Tribal Health Center participates in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program and has recommended vaccines available for all ages. Vaccines provide protection against preventable diseases in our community.
