DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Youth and Family outing to the Grand Rapids Public Museum to experience Living in Balance: Anishinaabe Star Knowledge, a 25-minute planetarium show that highlights Anishinaabe stories of constellations and moons in connection with contemporary insights about environmental changes.\nThe show features teachings shared by Native Skywatchers Carl Gawboy, William Wilson, and Dr. Annette S. Lee, narrated by Aarin Dokum with Anishinaabemowin translations by Alphonse Pitawanakwat, and artwork by Elizabeth LaPensée.\nPlanetarium doors close at the start time of the show, and late admittance is not permitted.Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes early.\nTransportation is available from the GLT Administration Building and will depart at 11:45 a.m. Please arrive by 11:35 a.m. for check-in if riding with us.\nYouth ages 12 and under must have a chaperone. A parent, guardian, responsible older sibling, or family member may serve as the chaperone. A signed waiver is required for youth riding with us. Families may ride from GLT Administration Building or meet us directly at the museum.\nRSVP by January 9, 2026 to attend!\nPlease RSVP to Lance Hinmon, Youth Specialist at lance.hinmon@glt-nsn.gov.
